Training Opportunities

The OCTG has access to a whole variety of training opportuniries, covering numerous aspects of construction, including Health & Safety Awareness (a precursor to achieving a CSCS Green Labourer Card), Asbestos Awareness, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, Scaffold Appreciation & Inspection, PASMA Mobile Towers, Temporary Works Coordinator, Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), Safe Working at Heights and many more. These feature as part of an OCTG published 4-monthly Core Course Schedule, which is suitable distributed across the membership in a timely fashion.

All courses run throughout the year and are usually held at one of our preferred provider’s nominated venues throughout the area e.g. Long Hanborough, Oxford, Witney, Bicester etc. Plant training is perceived as more flexible/individual and, therefore, deemed as site or yard based.

Published prices have been negotiated directly with our preferred providers, therefore entitling Members to attractively positioned discounts.
