The Group comprises CITB in-scope (Levy paying) organisations, of which should represent at least 75% of the overall membership. It is also open to allied trade organisations, albeit there is limited entitlement to CITB subsidies. Specially discounted rates for a range of core courses have been negotiated on behalf of the membership, which everyone can take full advantage of. In terms of industry related Grant, this can be applied for directly with the CITB as part of its published Levy/Grant arrangements. However, there is a Group dedicated Special Projects Fund in place, which enables wide and open access to certain subsidies for initiatives that appear ‘out of the ordinary’, although it does have to demonstrate a positive contribution to the industry overall, allied trades included.

The Group’s area covers Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire and parts of Berkshire. There is a Training Group covering the Thames Valley, which based out of Reading (Thames Valley Construction Training Association Limited). Equally, Hampshire has its own dedicated Group – Hampshire Construction Training Association. The OCTG strives work closely its counterparts and, on many occasions, will stage collaborative projects for the good of the industry.

Membership is annual (January to December inclusive), with Members being invoiced on 1 January each year (currently £200.00 + VAT, irrespective of the size or turnover). Under normal circumstances these fees are expected by mid February to enable support activities to remain seamless from year to year.

The Management Committee requires a mandate from each Member to manage the Group's affairs to meet with their expectations and requirements. With this in mind there are 3 2-hour General Meetings throughout the calendar year (April - AGM, September and December)‎ of which attendance, and feedback, is considered crucial to meeting Group objectives.

The Management Committee comprises the Chairman (in-scope employer), Vice Chair (in-scope employer), Member Representative (in-scope employer), Treasurer and Group Training Officer.
